Jocelyn Almond (1956-2014) is entirely unknown in the world of poetry, for she published no poems in her lifetime (although she published a variety of essays and short stories mostly in fanzines at the height of that genre in the 1980s). She also published works on the Tarot and on Egyptian paganism, but otherwise devoted her limited energies to guiding students on their spiritual paths within the Fellowship of Isis. For the last decade of her life she served the Fellowship as one of their Archpriestesses. Over half of these poems were written during the last year of her life.
