Wilbur J. Scott is Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Scott received his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in 1976. He has published numerous journal articles and is currently coediting a book with Sandra Carson Stanley on the controversy over gays in the military.
His area of expertise are in the sociology of politics, social movements, and military sociology. He served in Vietnam in 1968-1969, as an infantry platoon leader with the Fourth Infantry Division.
