Ernest J. Schweit fell in love with rural America from the window of a train he rode to college in downstate Illinois. He saw a lonely beauty in the barns and farmhouses that would become his passion and favorite photographic subject. Schweit lives outside Chicago with his wife, three children, dog, and cat.
