Lee Schultz is the pseudonym of Gene Byrge. She has been writing on and off since age 9. Several of her short stories were published in EQMM and Hustler magazines in the 1970's. She has worked as an equipment operator, spent 10 years as a coal miner, got her law degree at the age of 46, has raised four children, the oldest of whom passed on at the age of 26. She has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
