Patrick McClellan has always loved telling stories and adventure. He grew up in the mountains of Colorado in the Basalt area where he went to grade school. Afterwards he attended Colorado Mountain College and Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. He loved telling stories through video games and movies but the industry at the time was struggling and not many opportunities were available for recent graduates without experience.
