Wolfgang Arendt is head of the Institute of Applied Analysis at the University of Ulm, Germany. Having obtained his degrees from the University of Nice, France, and Tuebingen, Germany, he worked for eight years as professor at the University of Besancon in France before accepting a chair at the University of Ulm in Germany.
