Scanlon, Joann

JoAnn Scanlon was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on March 19, 1973. As the youngest of four children, she watched her father work two jobs and her mother raise the household as a stay-at-home parent until JoAnn reached her middle-school years. In her own words, "We may not have been from a wealthy family, but we were rich in family love." JoAnn went to Classical High School in Providence, Rhode Island, and, a few weeks after graduation, began working at her first full-time job.
