Mark W. Scala is Chief Curator at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Exhibitions he has organized include "Paint Made Flesh; Fairy Tales, Monsters, and the Genetic Imagination;" and "Creation Story: Gee's Bend Quilts and the Art of Thornton Dial."
