Sawyer, Kakie

The Lucksinger sisters were raised in Burnet, Texas. Sue, Kakie and Nancy are retired elementary school educators from Arizona, Virginia and California. Martha's background is in architecture and illustrating. She lives on a ranch in Texas and was the inspiration for this book. The Four Sisters enjoy collaborating and creating children's literature. Sean Murphy, illustrator, teaches art at Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia.
