MARK SATIN is an attorney, writer, and publisher of the Radical Middle Newsletter (www.radicalmiddle.com)--one of the largest independent political newsletters in Washington. From 1983-1992 he wrote and edited New Options, an innovative political newsletter praised by the Utne Reader and the Washington Post. He lives in Washington, D.C.
