VIRGINIA SAPIRO is the Sophonisba P. Breckinridge Professor of Political Science and Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she has taught for more than 25 years. She has received numerous awards for her research in political psychology, gender politics, feminist theory, and women's studies, and has served on the editorial boards of many journals.
