Cathy Samuels was born and raised in the United States. As a young child she often enjoyed reading and writing. Having the opportunity to have pets anywhere from snakes to monkeys she naturally felt comfortable creating her character Alfred. A sheepdog who rises to the challenge despite any obstacles that lay in the way.
