Newton Samson is a Nigerian writer. Most of his poems are influenced by his environment in the local setting. However, there are elements of western fairytales and folklores in his poems. Poems like: "A Mixture of Nothing," "Left Town" and "My Lady of Gale" are common examples amongst others.
