Geoffrey Salmon holds a 7th Dan black belt from the All Japan Kendo Federation and has spent many years living and training in Japan at the Osaka Shudokan and several dojo in Hyogo. He is fortunate to have studied with several revered 2nd generation kendo masters including Matsumoto Toshio, Hanshi 9th Dan. He is one of the few westerners to compete regularly in the prestigious Kyoto Taikai competitions, and now teaches kendo to students in the UK and Europe.
