Salaam, Kalamu Ya

Kalamu ya Salaam is a performance poet, a  dramatist, a fiction writer, and a music critic. He is the founder of Nommo Literary Society and the founder and former editor of "Black Collegian" "Magazine," He is the author of  "From a  Bend in the  River: 100 New Orleans Poets "and "What  Is Life?: Reclaiming  the Black Blues Self," He lives in New  Orleans.
