Alessandro Saffo was born in 1964 and lives in Catania, one of the nine provinces of Sicily near the volcano Etna. He studied photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. He taught photography at the Istituto D Arte in Catania for three years and then at ANFE (a school for vocational training) in Catania for fifteen years, where he designed and developed advanced courses.
