Jacqueline Ruiz was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut all her life. Growing up, she would spend her summer vacations in Quito and Riobamba, Ecuador. These were the happiest moments of her life (Until she meant and fell in love with her future husband and son, of course!). She was exposed to a different way of life; one that was more humble and serene. In June 2012, she decided to move to Ecuador to pursue her writing career, one she had put off for almost 10 years after graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
