Dr. Rubel is an educational sociologist and researcher by training. Immediately after college he taught high school English in South-Central Los Angeles for three years. Returning to graduate school, he earned an EdM (Boston University) and PhD (University of Wisconsin) in the area of crime prevention in public schools.
