Margaret Jane Jones is the author and illustrator of SUMMER ON THE SUN-UP, a novel of historical fiction for middle grade readers 8-12. She based the story, in part, on many events she experienced while growing up on a cattle and wheat ranch in Klickitat Valley in the State of Washington. She is a graduate of Washington State University. Ms. Jones taught elementary school in the states of Oklahoma, Virginia, and Florida.
