Scott Roy was born on January 23, 1991, in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint in May 2013, earning a bachelor's degree in history and Spanish. He attended graduate school at Eastern Michigan University, where he earned a master's degree in History and a graduate certificate in Cultural Museum Studies.
