Harriet Roth has a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University emphasizing foods and nutrition and consults with chefs around the world. She is the author of "Harriet Rothas Fat Counter, Deliciously Simple, Deliciously Low," and many other cookbooks. A former director of the Pritikin Longevity Center Cooking School, she now runs a private dietary consulting service in Los Angeles and is asked to speak frequently on food and nutrition-related topics.
