A native of Australia, Gerard Rose is a trial lawyer, sometime politician, and an advocate for a wide variety of noble and important civic causes. His higher education included stints at the University of Santa Clara and the Rome campus of Loyola University. As an officer in the U.S. Navy during the 1960's, Gerard traveled throughout the western Pacific, including Vietnam. In the early 1970's he taught international law and national strategy to senior Navy officers.
