Ernestine Rose is a retired teacher, wife, and mother of four sons. She grew up in Chicago and attended Bradley University in Peoria where she began her teaching career. She taught English, speech and theater, then moved to Fort Worth, Texas, working in schools and theater programs throughout the city. She earned a masters degree from the University of Dallas and retired from teaching high school after 36 years.
