Ronan, Marian

Marian Ronan was born into a working-class family in Chester, PA, just after World War II and is the descendant of Irish immigrants. She is deeply grateful to the Catholic sisters who educated her for fourteen years, twelve of them for free.

Marian is currently Research Professor of Catholic Studies at New York Theological Seminary, a multi-racial multi-lingual Protestant seminary in Manhattan. She earned a Ph.D. in Religion at Temple University and was a member of the faculty at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, from 1999 to 2009.
