Craig Romano has hiked every corner of the Evergreen State, logging more than 17,000 miles on the trail, from the San Juan Islands to the Salmo-Priest Wilderness, the Canadian border to the Columbia River Gorge. Craig writes for Hikeoftheweek.com and a long list of outdoor publications including Northwest Runner and Seattle Met. Craig has more than a dozen books to his credit. His Columbia Highlands: Exploring Washington's Last Frontier was recognized in 2010 as a Washington Reads book for its contribution to the state's cultural heritage.
