Let's be right up front about this: Mark Scott Ricketts is not from Maine. He's from away. He is a comics writer and illustrator who aspires to be a Maine humorist. Of course, this goal is basically impossible since, as we already mentioned, he was not born in Maine. He is not a sociologist, either.
