La Morris Richmond first broke onto the comics scene with the "Real Ghostbusters" published by NOW Comics in 1988. From there he went on to create horror stories for Northstar's Splatter, including "12 Gauge Solution" and the controversial slasher comic book "Boots Of The Oppressor." La Morris spent the next several years working as City Editor and columnist at The Chicago Daily Defender newspaper before returning to his first love in life - comics.
