Gwen Richardson is the author of five books -- one novel and four non-fiction titles. Her latest book, "101 Scholarship Applications: What It Takes to Obtain a Debt-Free College Education," was inspired by her two-year quest to send her own daughter, Sylvia, to college debt-free. Sylvia is currently a freshman at North Carolina Central University and is attending the institution with absolutely no college loans.
