Yolanda Reyes, founder and co-director of Scarecrow Workshop, a cultural project with emphasis in the formation of readers that works with both children and adults (parents, teachers, and librarians). She is a researcher, speaker, and consultant on the topic of early childhood reading development. All of her approaches stem from a long and prestigious experience working with children. Yoland is also a renowned writer of children's books: her book The Terror of 6B won the Fundalectura Prize in 1994. The Black Needles is her second book published by Alfaguara Infantil.
