Idrian Resnick was born in Wichita, Kansas and raised on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. He has spent his career as a writer, innovator, advocate, and educator. With a Ph.D. in economics and African Studies from Boston University, Resnick taught there and at Howard, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell and the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, where he served as an adviser to the government.
