Marie Osburn Reid is a longtime resident of Fairbanks, Alaska where her three children were born and raised. OVER RAINBOWS was inspired by her long history of living in the interior of Alaska. From Truckee, California she moved to Alaska in 1958 just a few months before it became the 49th state. Her first novel, THE SPIRIT BASKET, Over 270 Years of Adventures in Alaska was inspired by working at University of Alaska Museum of the North where the cultures and history of Alaska Natives are so alive.
