Reichert, Julia

Twice nominated for the Academy Award for Best Feature Documentary and winner of a Primetime Emmy Award for A Light in the House, Julia Reichert directs and produces fiction and documentary features. Her films have screened in major film festivals worldwide. Her documentaries Growing Up Female, Methadone--An American Way of Dealing, Union Maids, Seeing Red, and A Lion in the House were all broadcast nationally on PBS. Her films have screened theatrically around the U.S., and internationally in theaters and on television in dozens of countries.
