John Ravenhill is a Professor in the Department of International Relations at ANU. His recent books include Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation: The Construction of Pacific Rim Regionalism (2001), The Asian Financial Crisis and the Architecture of Global Finance (co-editor, 2000), and The National Interest in a Global Era: Australia in World Affairs, 1996-2000 (co-editor, 2002). He is the editor of the Cambridge University Press Asia-Pacific Studies series. He was the first winner of the Australasian Political Studies Association's L.F. Crisp medal.
