Evelyn Rauch is a second generation survivor. Her parents escaped Nazi Germany before World War II began. Evelyn grew up feeling different from her peers but never new quite why. Only after her mother's death did it become clear why her home was different than her classmates and friends. She has dedicated herself to promoting tolerance by volunteering her time as a committee member of the Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College of New Jersey.
