Kishan S. Rana served as India's Ambassador and High Commissioner to Algeria, the erstwhile Czechoslovakia, Kenya, Mauritius, and Germany; and as Consul General in San Francisco, besides spending a year on Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's staff.
