The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges coordinates the affairs of the 27 U.S. Veterinary Medical Colleges, four Canadian Colleges of Veterinary Medicine, Departments of Veterinary Science and Comparative Medicine, and the animal medical centers. In addition, the association fosters the memberships' teaching, research, and service missions nationally and internationally.
