MARY BETH PRINGLE is Professor of English at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where she teaches modern/contemporary literature, women's studies, and writing. /e Her areas of professional interest include autobiography and personal writing by women and all facets of popular culture. She is coeditor of "The Image of Prostitute in Modern Literature" (1984) and "Sex Roles In Literature" (1980) and she is at work on "Approaches to Teaching Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse". She has also published articles on a wide variety of popular culture topics.
