J. E. Powell, who hails originally from St. Mary, Jamaica, resides in Kingston with her family. Always an avid reader, she nurtured a latent desire to become a writer herself but was unable to act on the desire of her heart until she wrote her first novel, The Awakening of a Giant. She hopes her readers enjoy reading her work as much as she did writing it.
