Powell, Joyce

Joyce Powell was born in Kentucky but raised in Monroe, Michigan, where she graduated from high school and met and married her husband, Dub. She attended college in both Tennessee and Texas and has three children and nine grandchildren. In 2003 she and her husband moved to the Texas Hill Country. She has organized and taught songwriting seminars, women's Bible studies, and has been involved in singing and playing piano for various Gospel groups since she was sixteen. She was one of the first women ever allowed to participate in ministry on men's death row in Huntsville, Texas. She has written
