Potter, Simon

The author has worked in public education for twenty years with students from diverse backgrounds, but all of whom have struggled in school and with low aspirations. With a challenge from his students to pursue his dreams and show that everything he says and tries to teach them is true he set out to to write a story that epitomizes the American dream. He hopes this is the first of many such old fashioned stories that will find a modern audience.
