Post grew up a science-fair kid at White Sands Missile Range. He was a helicopter gunship pilot in Vietnam, a junior prophet in a fundamentalist cult, associate editor for a small "new age" publisher, Scientologist, psychedelicist, ghostwriter and freelance propagandist, op-ed-page gadfly, singer/composer, actor/playwright, flight instructor, pilot and pistolero for an illicit commodities importing concern, and practitioner of the not-so-gentle art of Tae Kwon Do.
