I was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa, in 1967. I have 3 daughters who still live in Cape Town. My husband, Tony and I, live in Queensland, Australia. While in South Africa, I used to be a teacher. I started by homeschooling my own daughters, later taught at a Christian school and my last years as a teacher I spent teaching at a public high school in Mitchell's Plain, just outside of Cape Town. For my writing I draw from my years as a teacher and counselor, where I saw both the best and the worst side of people. I choose to not only tell the pretty, feel-good stories but also those stories
