Pinton has translated and edited several Latin works of G.B. Vico: the inaugural orations (On Humanistic Education), the lectures on rhetoric (The Art of Rhetoric), the treatises on law (Universal Right), the biography of Antonio Carafa (Statescraft: The Deed of Antonio Carafa), the rebellion of the Neapolitan Aristocracy (The Conspiracy of the Prince of Macchia). He also rendered into English the famous work of Eugenio Garin, History of Italian Philosophy.
