David decided that there was a need for an English language book solely about Madiran and Pacherenc wines. The South West is his favourite area; a land of good hearty food, hills and mountains. Over the past few years visits to Gascony with his wife, Karen, have enabled him to build a knowledge base, get to know the wines and vineyards, and discover stories about the wine makers and the region.
