Perez, Juan Manuel

Juan Manuel Perez, born and raised in the onion fields around La Pryor, Texas, is the author of three full poetry collections, plus numerous poetry chapbooks and poetry workshop workbooks. Juan is also the 2011-2012 Poet Laureate for the San Antonio Poets Association, the Chupacabra Poet Laureate (for lifetime), the 2014 Un-Official Hooters Poet, and, as suggested by the editor of this book (along with many other poetry lovers in the Middle Rio Grande region of Texas) to the people of La Pryor, Crystal City, and Batesville, the de facto "Poet Laureate Of Zavala County."
