Peers, A. F. J.

In the year 2000 Andrew Peers transferred from a Trappist abbey in Northern Ireland to a sister house in the Netherlands, a red-bearded foreigner who didn't know a single word of Dutch. In his new abbey, he was able to deepen his meditation practice by working with Zen teachers on koans. He went on to give his own Zen retreats at the abbey up until his departure from the Order in 2011.
