Paul, Mathew

Paul finished his schooling in Port Elizabeth, before commencing his national service of two years in the South African Defence Force. He started out at the Infantry School, Oudtshoorn and emerged a year later as a corporal instructor. After completing his national service, he decided to study for the ministry and spent the next three years studying theology in Cape Town. After graduating, he served in three church congregations. In 1996, he re-enlisted in the South African Army as a full-time chaplain. He resigned from the South African Army in 2000 and is currently a full-time minister
