Don Pardue grew up in a small town in East Tennessee. After completing a tour of duty in the U.S Air Force during the Korean War, he received his education at Tennessee Wesleyan College, Atlanta Art Institute, and the University of Tennessee, where he earned a BFA degree and later taught graphic design courses. He is the author of several other novels, including Blossoms of Winter, Tom, Dick, and Harriet, and Maiden Harvest, as well as a compilation of reminisces and poetry, Random Reflections.
