Padilla, Amado M.

Padilla received his Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of New Mexico. He is Professor of Psychological Studies in Education and chair of the Language, Literacy and Culture Program in the School of Education at Stanford University. Previously, he directed two national research centers, the Center for Language Education and Research and the Spanish-speaking Mental Health Research Center at the University of California at Los Angeles where he served as Professor of Psychology from 1974 to 1988.
