Lissette Ortiz is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Spanish Harlem. After graduating from the Berkeley School, Lissette pursued a career in business. She currently works as an Executive Assistant for a commercial real estate company. Lissette discovered her passion for writing when she began writing short stories at the age of thirteen. Through the Eyes of Maria is her first published novel.
